BMW Championship Begins
As the official PGA Tour season winds to a close, we don’t have too many tournaments left this year. Which makes the BMW Championship this week very important to the standings, everyone is racing to be in the top five going into the Tour Championship.

Evian Championship Tries to Live Up to Major Status
On the ladies side of the game, the women are in France this week at the Evian Championship. Two years ago it was deemed to be the 5th Major for the ladies on the tour, and here in the shadow of the Alps, the course at the Evian Resort Golf Club is trying to prove it?

The King’s Birthday
This week everyone’s favorite golfer, Arnold Palmer, turned 84. Still spry for his age, the King was at a golf tournament just a few days before, still working on his game. A very happy birthday from Breaking Eighty to the man who has done so much for golf!

New Multi Year PGA Tour Schedule
A never ending season of golf? Looks that way, as this year the PGA Tour is really pushing it with a new wrap around schedule. Now, the 2013-2014 season will start right after the end of this season with the Frys.com Open coming in early October.
Will this new schedule become the norm, or too much golf for the guys to handle?
