Best “All Day” Golf Shoes: 5 Shoes that Do a Little Bit of Everything

Golf shoes...they aren't just for the course any more.

Five years ago, if you saw a guy walking around town in golf shoes, you’d probably laugh at him.

It’s just not something you do.

But these days, that’s all changed.

There’s a handful of companies that have embraced the idea of the “all day” golf shoe.

These are shoes that perform well enough to wear on the course, but look and feel more like regular street shoes.

They still represent a pretty small niche in the world of golf, but for the right person, having a pair of all day shoes in your golf (and street) wardrobe can truly be a game changer.

In this list of the best all day golf shoes I’m going to share with you 5 of my favorite options on the market. Each of these serves a slightly different purpose, so one may or may not be the right fit depending on what you’re looking for.

Looking for a more traditional pair? I got you. Check out the list of the best golf shoes I’ve tested.

Quick Note: The video above was from an older version of this post. All of those shoes are still excellent, so don’t hesitate to grab them if you still find them for sale.

    Best All-Day Golf Trainer: G/FORE MG4x2

    GFORE MG4x2 Shoes

This is still my current favorite all-day golf shoe, full stop. As it just so happens, I’m actually wearing them in a coffee shop as I write this.

Everything G/FORE does just feels extremely high quality, and these shoes are no exception. They use a variety of different textures and materials to make these shoes feel both unique and high-end.

The styling won’t be for everyone, but they perform great on the golf course and are just as good off the course as well.

G/FORE also has what they call “massaging nub” insoles that are a total game-changer. It seemed weird at first, but now I look forward to slipping on any of their shoes that have this feature.

I just went out and bought another pair of these in the Summer of 2026, and basically haven’t taken them off my feet since.

Check out my full G/FORE MG4x2 review.

The G/FORE MG4x2 is an incredibly comfortable shoe that looks just as good off the course as it does on it.

Best on the Golf Course: TRUE Linkswear Antigravity

The Antigravity is genuinely an all-day shoe. You could wear it to the course in the morning and keep it on for the rest of the day without anyone knowing you’d just played 18.

It leans into that sneaker-forward direction that is a hallmark of many TRUE shoes, and it’s why I’ve liked it since it launched. The platform is comfortable, lightweight, and looks like something you’d actually choose to wear off the course, not just tolerate.

On the course, it holds up better than you’d expect from something that looks this casual. It’s not quite as stiff or supportive through the upper as similarly priced shoes from Payntr or G/FORE, so I wouldn’t call it the most stable shoe in this price range. But between the comfort and the traction, it’s more than capable for most rounds.

I recently reviewed the TRUE Antigravity Pro, which is the more golf course-centric version of this shoe, with an aggressive TPU spiked outsole for guys who want max traction and don’t mind giving up a little bit of the all-day versatility. If that’s what you’re after, that’s the one to grab. But if you want the all-day flexibility and sneaker styling with a shoe that’s still genuinely capable on the course, the original Antigravity is fantastic.

Best Elevated All-Day Shoe: Sun Day Red Osprey

The Osprey is Sun Day Red’s first crossover shoe, and it’s a really strong debut.

The Osprey doesn’t scream “golf shoe.” It’s clean, minimal, and doesn’t look out of place with jeans or trousers, which is exactly what I want out of something in this category. The materials feel premium in a way that matches the price tag, and the comfort out of the box is legitimately impressive. No break-in period needed.

On the course, it performs fine in dry to lightly damp conditions, but I wouldn’t reach for these in a downpour. This is a fair-weather, elevated everyday shoe first, golf shoe second.

If you want something that looks more like a $200 sneaker than a golf shoe but can still hold up for 18 holes when the weather cooperates, this is it.

    Our full review coming soon.

Solid Alternative: The G/FORE G.112.2 has a similar silhoutte, but more bold colorways. So if you like the elevated look, but want a little more color, I’d take a look at those.

Tigers brand has come into it's own lately, and this my favorite item I've seen from them. These casual elevated golf shoes are just at home in the office as they are on the course.

Best Vacation Shoe: TRUE Linkswear Knit 4

The All Day Knit line has always been built for the trip where golf is part of the itinerary, not the whole itinerary. You’re playing a round, walking around town, maybe hitting the beach, grabbing dinner somewhere casual.

The Knit 4 is basically the synthesis of everything TRUE has learned from the Knit 2 and Knit 3. Solid comfort, good performance, and I think the best overall execution of the knit upper yet.

On the course, they’re serviceable rather than exceptional. They’re not waterproof, so I’d treat them as a cart shoe or a dry-weather walker rather than something you play every round in. But for a trip where the shoes need to do six different jobs? Nothing beats them.

You can watch my review of the Knit 4 above, or here’s my review of the older Knit II which you can still sometimes find for sale.

I've been a big fan of the TRUE's Knit Series. The Knit 2s have been my go-to, do-everything vacation shoe for years. So a new and improved Knit shoe definitely has a place in my lineup.

Best Rugged All-Day Shoe: TRUE Linkswear Ascent PNW Proof

They don’t look waterproof, but they deliver.

Living up here in the Pacific Northwest, I need at least one shoe on this list that can handle real weather, and the Ascent PNW Proof is that shoe.

It looks like a clean, casual sneaker. It doesn’t look waterproof. But it is. I’ve played full rounds in pouring rain and jumped in puddles with these on purpose just to test them, no issues.

This is the shoe I grab when the forecast is bad, but I’m playing anyway, and I still want to wear it to grab a beer afterward without looking like I just came off a soggy golf course.

Still Not Totally Sure About an All-Day Golf Shoe? Here’s Why You Might Want a Pair

There are a few key benefits to buying a pair of all-day golf shoes.

Here are some of the biggest ones in my mind.

    They Make Travel More Convenient

If you have kids like me, there’s a good chance that if you take a family vacation, you’re lucky to sneak in one or two rounds of golf.

But when you do that, you have to pack an entire wardrobe for half a day of fun – with shoes being one of the bulkiest items.

The right pair of all day shoes allows you to bring one pair and not have to carry a dedicated set of golf shoes that take up valuable luggage space.

I’ve worn every pair on this list on airplanes, walked around major cities, had at the beach, and on the golf course. So not having to bring an extra pair of tennis shoes is a really nice benefit

    Get More for Your Money

These days shoes are expensive. So it can be tough to justify buying a pair of Summer golf shoes if you know you might only get a handful of rounds in them a year.

But with an all day shoe, you’ll wear them way more often.

You have a shoe that can perform double duty, so it becomes easier to rationalize spending $150+ on a pair of shoes knowing that you’ll be able to wear them all the time.

In most cases, they won’t perform quite as well as a dedicated golf shoe

This is the downside. Many pairs of all-day shoes (not all!) don’t have quite the stability, traction, or waterproofness of traditional golf shoes.

So you’re likely not going to buy a pair and use them for every single round you play. In the list below I’l let you know which ones are better for walking full rounds of golf, and which ones lean more towards an emergency 9 in a cart.

Now that you have an idea of what these are all about, let’s jump into my favorites!

Final Thoughts on All Day Golf Shoes

While the concept of the “all day” golf shoe is still relatively niche, it isn’t going to stay that way for long.

As more and more people are realizing that you really can have a golf shoe that is also suitable for everyday wear, we’ll be seeing more of these styles come to market.

But depending on what you’re looking for I can full recommend any of the shoes on this list. Some are better for golf than others, but I own every single one of these, and they’ve each had considerable wear time.

Questions? Drop a comment and I’ll do my best to answer.

And if you’re looking for more golf shoe recommendations, here’s our list of the best golf shoes of 2026.
