FlightScope Mevo Gen 2: The New Gold Standard Under $1,300
The FlightScope Mevo Gen 2 replaces the Mevo Plus as my favorite overall launch monitor. At $1,299 ($1,234 after your 5% discount), it delivers even better performance than the Mevo Plus for over $1,000 less.
What Makes the Mevo Gen 2 Special?
Pro-Level Accuracy at Half the Price
The Gen 2 uses FlightScope’s patented Fusion Tracking technology—the same radar engine found in their $15,000 X3C—combining 3D Doppler radar with synchronized camera tracking. You’re getting professional-grade data without the professional price tag.
18 Data Points With No Subscription
Unlike competitors that nickel-and-dime you with monthly fees, FlightScope gives you full access to all 18 metrics with zero ongoing costs:
- Carry distance, roll, and total distance
- Ball speed and club speed
- Smash factor
- Vertical and horizontal launch angle
- Spin rate and spin axis
- Apex height and flight time
- Lateral landing
- Angle of Attack
- Spin loft
- Shot type and dispersion
Built for Indoor and Outdoor Use
The Gen 2 excels in both environments. Setup requires just 8 feet from unit to ball, with another 8 feet of ball flight indoors. The integrated tilt and roll guides turn green when alignment is perfect.
6-Hour Battery Life
Triple the battery life of the original Mevo Plus means all-day range sessions without worrying about power. Plus, it finally uses USB-C charging (thank you, FlightScope).
Free E6 Connect Courses for Life
Your purchase includes permanent access to 8 world-class courses with no subscription required:
- Torrey Pines (CA)
- Kiawah Island Ocean Course (SC)
- Kapalua Plantation Course (HI)
- Sea Island Seaside Course (GA)
- Valderrama Golf Club (Spain)
- Chateau Whistler (Canada)
- Pelican Hill (CA)
- Latrobe Country Club (PA)
Seamless Simulator Integration
Connect to GSPro, Awesome Golf, TGC 2019, Creative Golf, The Stack System, and SuperSpeed Training with no gatekeeper fees—another area where FlightScope outshines the competition.
Upgrade Options Available
While the base Mevo Gen 2 is incredibly powerful, you can add:
- Pro Package: Advanced club data, including face angle, club path, and dynamic loft
- Face Impact Location: Visual feedback showing exactly where you’re striking the ball
And the best part? You can also use the FlightScope coupon code BREAKINGEIGHTYPLUS to save on these packages as well.

FlightScope Mevo Plus (Closeout Pricing)
Now that the Mevo Gen 2 has arrived, the Mevo Plus is being closed out at incredible prices. At around $1,044 after your discount code, it represents a really solid deal.
That said, now that the Mevo Gen 2 has completely caught up in terms of features, and has better battery, a slightly better radar, and is brand’s focus moving forward – I’d spend just a little more to get the newest model.
I don’t think Mevo Plus owners are going to be left out in the cold, but I think all future features will be created primarily with the Mevo Gen 2 in mind.
So for around $200 more, I think this is one area where it’s worth future-proofing yourself a bit.
Now that this is in full "close out" mode, we're seeing by far the cheapest prices ever on it. It's still very capable and a killer deal.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the BREAKINGEIGHTYPLUS code work on all FlightScope products? Yes! Use code BREAKINGEIGHTYPLUS to save 5% on the Mevo Gen 2, Mevo Plus, Pro Package, Face Impact Location package, certified pre-owned Mevo devices, and FlightScope accessories. The only product it doesn’t work on is the professional level X3c.
What’s the difference between Mevo Gen 2 and Mevo Plus? The Mevo Gen 2 is essentially the same as the base Mevo Plus but with some minor updates. It has better battery life, a USB-C connection, and a slightly larger radar panel, which makes for increased accuracy indoors. The Mevo Plus also isn’t getting much additional development supoort moving forward, which is the biggest reason to go with the Gen 2.
Do I need a subscription for the Mevo Gen 2? Nope. All 18 data parameters are included with zero subscription fees. You also get lifetime access to 8 E6 Connect courses and can connect to third-party software without additional integration fees. But if you want club data, then you’ll need to buy the Pro Package for a one time additional fee.
Can I use the Mevo Gen 2 indoors? Yes! The Gen 2 works great indoors with a minimum of 8 feet between the device and ball, plus 8 feet of ball flight. For best results indoors, consider using RCT balls or aluminum stickers.
