Best Golf Polos of 2026: 6 Shirts for Every Type of Golfer

These are the golf polos that I'm wearing day in and day out, as well as some places I look for incredible apparel deals.

As someone who makes their living around golf, it’d be impossible not to have the golf polo as a staple of my wardrobe – both on the course and off.

    I’ve got dozens of polos.

Yet, honestly? There are only a handful that I go back to week in and week out.

A golf polo can be a pretty personal thing. We all have different body types, material preferences, budgets, and styles that we gravitate towards. So, creating a definitive “best golf polos” list is kind of tricky.

So with this list, I did my best to provide a little bit of everything while sticking to the products I’ve actually tested and loved.

A quick note on how I approached this list: I lean pretty hard toward pique fabrics. There’s a reason for that beyond just liking the texture.  Pique does a noticeably better job of hiding things like nipples, body hair, and the occasional dad bod than a lot of the slicker, more tailored performance fabrics out there. If you know, you know. That said, there are still some non-pique options here that earned their spot.

    Let’s get into it.

Favorite Overall: G/FORE Performance Pique Polo

This is the one. If I could only own one golf polo for the rest of my life, it’d be this.

The material is excellent, it wicks sweat about as well as anything I’ve worn, which matters a lot if you’re playing in the heat. The length is exactly right too. It’s long enough to stay tucked in for a full 18, but short enough that I can wear it untucked casually without it looking like a dress.

One small detail I love: there’s a little pop of pink on the back collar. It’s subtle, but it adds just enough personality to keep the shirt from feeling generic. The collar itself is nice and stiff, which is a small thing that makes a bigger difference than you’d think when it comes to how a polo actually looks on you.

Basically, this is everything I could ask for in a do-it-all polo. I’ve bought multiples with my own money after G/FORE first sent me one, which tells you everything you need to know.

    • Price: $110
    • Discount: Use G/FORE discount code G4BREAKING8010 to save 10%
    • Where to Buy: Buy from G/FORE
    • Solid Alternative: G/FORE All Play Polo – If you want to stick with the sizing and style of G/FORE, their All Play is actually their most popular polo. I wear this frequently too, and it’s “performance” material with out the negatives I mentioned in the intro.

As soon as I wore this polo for the first time, I went to G/FORE's website and bought two more. This has been my summer staple.

Best Long Sleeve Polo: Redvanly Hoxton LS Pique Polo

This is the polo I’ve been waiting for Redvanly to make.

I’ve been a fan of Redvanly’s stuff for the better part of a decade now, but their polos have been a little hit and miss in styling over the years. But for 2026, they finally released some pique models – and knocked it out of the park.

The pique fabric here feels a little stretchier, and maybe slightly more technical, than the G/FORE Performance Pique above. The length and fit are great, right in line with what Redvanly’s been doing well across the rest of their lineup lately.

What I really like is the stretch. It makes it genuinely easy to push the sleeves up if it starts getting warm mid-round, and they actually stay up instead of sliding back down every other hole, which is a small thing that drives me nuts with other long-sleeve shirts.

This leans more technical, so probably not the polo that will do double duty at a more buttoned up event. But for golf and running around town, I love this.

Now I just want to see this exact polo to show up in their short sleeve polos.

    • Price: $120

    • Where to Buy: Buy from Redvanly here.
    • Solid Alternative: Bobby Jones Performance Dash Jacquard Long Sleeve – Don’t want pique? This is a more performance material, that also feels a little more elevated and able to be dressed up.

Best Material: Holderness and Bourne Airation

When it comes to pure performance fabric, the Airation technology from Holderness and Bourne is fantastic. You can actually see the breathability when you look at it up close – the construction is doing real work, not just marketing-speak about “moisture wicking.”

They’ve put this fabric into a few different models at this point, but the Cromwell is my favorite of the bunch. It’s the one I’d point you toward first if you want to feel what Airation is all about.

And when you’re wearing H&B, you just tend to get a subtle respect from any other golfers you come across. Their stuff just keeps getting better and better.

    • Price: $118
    • Where to Buy: Buy from Holderness and Bourne
    • Solid Alternative: Sun Mountain Elevate Stretch – Much more modern take on a polo than the H&B, but I’ve been really surprised by the material Sun Mountain uses here. I dig it more than most performance fabrics.

    Most Sustainable: Radmor Hudson

    Radmor Hudson

I’m putting this in the “most sustainable” category, and it genuinely earns that title. Made from Radmor’s proprietary performance jersey, the Hudson blends organic Peruvian Pima cotton, RadCycled REPREVE® recycled polyester, and stretch yarns into a fabric that ends up exceptionally soft, breathable, and flexible.

But I don’t want the sustainability angle to be the only reason you consider this shirt, because it stands on its own as a genuinely good polo. It’s the perfect blend of performance and cotton feel – you get that soft, casual hand-feel of cotton, but with the give and breathability of a performance fabric.

It is slightly less slim fit than what you’d get from G/FORE or Holderness and Bourne, but not so much that you’re swimming in it. It’s earned a real spot in my 2026 rotation.

    • Price: $115
    • Where to Buy: Buy from Radmor here.

Not only do Radmor polos fit well and perform on the course, but they use sustainable practices in their manufacturing in a way not many other brands do. Either way, the Hudson Polo surprised me and is definitely one to check out.

Best Traditional Pique: Holderness and Bourne Maxwell

This has been one of my favorite polos for a decade now. I’m not sure there’s a single golf apparel product that has lasted longer in my regular rotation than this polo. I have half a dozen of them in different colors.

Compared to the G/FORE pique polo above, the Maxwell has a slightly more tailored fit and more traditional styling overall. The collar is great, and there’s a level of respect that comes with wearing this thing among the country club set that I haven’t found anywhere else. I’ve worn Holderness and Bourne for well over half the rounds I’ve played over the years, and the Maxwell specifically is the one I reach for the most.

If you want a polo that signals “I take this seriously” without trying too hard, this is it.

Keep in mind with this polo, small and medium tend to be more slim fit, and then with large and above, you get a little more room.

    • Price: $118
    • Where to Buy: Buy from Holderness and Bourne
    • Solid Alternative: G/FORE Performance Pique – similar pique feel, more modern styling.

    Best Cotton Polos: B.Draddy

    BDraddy Cotton Polo

The more I wear from B.Draddy, the more I like them.

Their Peruvian Pima cotton is incredibly soft, and they’ve got a ton of different options for straight cotton polos, which is refreshing in a market where most brands these days are chasing performance fabrics almost exclusively.

One thing worth noting: the models I’ve tested tend to run a little on the longer side. That’s great if you want to stay tucked in all day, but it might be a touch long if you’re planning to wear it untucked.

If you’re a traditionalist who still wants a real cotton polo, definitely check these out. Use the code BREAKING to save 20%, and keep an eye out for their sales, too – they regularly run promotions you can stack the code on top of, which can lead to some genuinely killer values on items that otherwise sit at the higher end of the price spectrum.

    • Where to Buy: Buy from B.Draddy
    • Solid Alternative: Holderness & Bourne Cotton Polos – No surprise for a brand with such traditional roots, that their cotton polos are just as good as their performance and pique options.

Best Golf Polo Sales: 4 Places I Go For Great Deals

Ok, a caveat for this section, as these aren’t necessarily polos I’ve personally reviewed and tested. But the reality is 1) everyone likes a good deal, and 2) many of the polos on this list are more premium priced.

But there are a handful of places I look on a regular basis for good deals on high-quality apparel. So if you’re looking to find golf polos on sale, I would 100% check these spots out for some incredible values. All of these are great brands, so I have no doubt the products will be high quality. It just depends on style, fit, and colors, as to what it’ll be right for you.

    B.Draddy: 30-50% Off + Additional 20%

B.Draddy has a “sale” page that always has some fantastic stuff for anywhere from 30-50% off. But then when you add the B.Draddy discount code “BREAKING” on top of that, you get an additional 20% off the sale price.

    B. Draddy Sale and Closeout | Use code BREAKING to save Additional 20%

    B. Draddy is known for quality, and because of that their retail prices skew towards the high side.

But they typically have a number of products at 30-50% off, plus an additional 20% off with the code BREAKING. I typically check this page at least 2-3 times a monht.

    Sunice Sports: 30-50% Off + Additional 20%

Sunice is mostly known for outerwear, but they have some polos with some really good moisture-wicking and cooling tech built in. They don’t have quite as many polos as other brands, since they specialize more in outerwear like jackets and pullovers, but I’ve seen some pretty fantastic deals here recently.

Sunice already makes some of the best value outerwear in golf. The price for what you get is already excellent. But when you can find clearance sales, plus an additional 20% off with the code BREAKEIGHTY20? There are some insane deals to be had.

    Bobby Jones: 30-50% Off + Additional 20%

Looking for more traditional styling and elevated pieces? Bobby Jones is one of my new favorites. Their “Sale Page” typically has a number of polos of varying styles, but if you need layering pieces of even sport coats, they have some great deals at well over 50% off retail.

Golf Galaxy Apparel Deals: Up to 70% Off

If you want brands more on the budget spectrum or some of the more well-known major brands like Nike, Adidas, and Under Armour, the apparel deals page at Golf Galaxy should be on the list of places you check out on a regular basis. Even better, their in house Walter Hagen brand has some surprisingly high-quality pieces that can go on sale for as low as like 20 bucks.

What to Look for When Buying a Golf Polo

Picking a golf polo comes down to a few key things:

    • Fabric (pique vs. performance vs. cotton)
    • Fit and length
    • Collar structure
    • Versatility on and off the course
    • Price

As I mentioned up top, I lean pique. I think it does the best job of looking sharp and hiding the stuff most of us don’t want highlighted by a clingy performance fabric, especially as we get into our late 30s and beyond. But if you run hot or you’re playing in serious heat and humidity, a true performance fabric like the Holderness and Bourne Airation is worth a look. And if you just want the classic cotton feel and don’t mind sacrificing a little stretch, B.Draddy and the Radmor Hudson both deliver that in spades.

There’s no single right answer here. It comes down to your body type, your climate, and what you want the shirt doing for you both on the course and off it.
