I started reviewing golf products here at Breaking Eighty in 2012.
I’ve spent 13 years becoming one of the most trusted people in golf when it comes to giving my honest take on the golf products I test.
Obviously, during that time, I’ve built some great relationships with brands as well.
Something I’ve appreciated about (most) of the brands I work with, is that they give me the space to be able to say what I really think.
Very rarely (if ever) is there a product review where I don’t say something negative. Because let’s face it, no product is perfect.
Fortunately, because of these good relationships, many brands have been great about providing coupon or discount codes for my audience.
I don’t take sponsorships. No brand can pay me to say nice things. And with the stuff I do test, I’m under no obligation to publish a review or say anything specific. I just say what I really think.
