Hackmotion 4.0 is one of the best training aids for fixing common swing flaws.

I’ll be honest, I’m a little skeptical by nature when it comes to swing training aids. There are a lot of products out there that make big promises and don’t really deliver. So when HackMotion first crossed my radar, I wasn’t in a rush to jump on it.

But here’s the thing about HackMotion: the underlying premise is hard to argue with. Your wrists are the only connection between your body and the club. They control the clubface. And the clubface controls everything. So if your wrist angles are off, at the top, on the way down, at impact, it doesn’t matter how good the rest of your swing looks. You’re going to struggle.

HackMotion is a wrist sensor that straps onto your lead wrist, connects to an app, and gives you real-time data on exactly what your wrists are doing at every stage of the swing. It sounds simple, but the depth of feedback is impressive. It shows you your wrist position at the top of your backswing and at impact, compares your numbers to tour player benchmarks, and then prescribes specific drills to fix what’s wrong. No guessing. No “feels.”

I’ve now tested both the HackMotion 2.0 and the brand new HackMotion Sensor 4 (which literally just launched) and I’m happy to share a code that’ll save you some money on whichever version is right for you.

Use the code BREAKINGEIGHTY5 at hackmotion.com to save 5% off your purchase.

It’s not a massive discount on a product at this price point, but every bit helps, and this is one of the more expensive training aids out there, so it’s worth using.

    All of Our HackMotion Content

Here’s everything we’ve covered on HackMotion so far:

    • HackMotion Review (2.0) – My full written review of the HackMotion 2.0. I go deep on what it does well, where it falls short, and who I’d actually recommend it to. The short version: it does one thing really well, and if that one thing is your problem, it’s worth every penny. I’m in the process of updating this to include my experience with the new Sensor 4 as well — so check back soon.
    • HackMotion Sensor 4 Video Review – I just filmed my first look at the brand new HackMotion Sensor 4, which is so new it’s still in pre-order as of this writing (with deliveries starting May 2026). If you want to see whether the latest version is worth the upgrade over the previous gen, this is the place to start.

If you’re new to HackMotion and trying to figure out which version to get, here’s my quick take: the Core package covers full swing wrist tracking and is a solid starting point. The Plus package adds putting analysis, which is genuinely useful since wrist overactivity on the greens kills more rounds than people realize. The Pro package is really for coaches or serious data nerds — it’s powerful, but probably more than most recreational golfers need.

And if you’re trying to decide between the Sensor 3 (now on sale while supplies last) and the new Sensor 4, I’d watch my video first. The Sensor 4 is a meaningful upgrade, but the 3rd gen at a reduced price is still an excellent device.

Do you have an inconsistent swing and know wrist angle may be the culprit? There's not a better swing trainer on the market to help you fix it.
