When the Honey Golf package arrived at my doorstep, the first impression was solid, clearly labeled, stylishly branded poly bag, delivered efficiently. It’s the kind of packaging that immediately signals you’re dealing with a brand that cares about the details.
First Impressions: The Fabric Does NOT Disappoint
The moment I pulled my Honey Golf pieces out of the package, I knew this wasn’t your average golf apparel. I reviewed the Alice Short Sleeve Bodysuit and the Sally Classic Green skirt.
The fabric feels premium. It’s thick yet breathable, with a quality you can sense immediately. I ordered the green colorway, and I’m happy to report it’s very true to the online images. No surprises there, which is always a relief when ordering apparel online.
Understanding the Layered System (Because I Had Questions)
I’ll be honest: when I first got introduced to this product, I needed to dive deeper to understand how exactly to style it. At a quick glance, I wondered if I was going to need some specialized undergarments to play golf in a skin-tight, one-piece bodysuit.
But after finding Honey’s “how to style” guide, it all clicked.
The concept is actually brilliant in its simplicity. You choose a base layer bodysuit, available in short sleeve (the Alice, which I tested), long sleeve, or sleeveless. You then pair it with their Sally Classic Skirt. They’ve created a great selection of colors that mix and match effortlessly, and for the quality of materials you’re getting, the price points are fantastic.
The body suit is $88 and the skirt $48. So considering how high quality everything is, I really feel like it’s a solid price for what you get.
The Story Behind the Brand Makes It Even Better
Here’s what I love: Honey Golf was created by three collegiate friends who, after graduating, decided to start a line of quality golf wear for their newly discovered love of golf.
The concept of creating an outfit that always looks polished without the constant battle of tucking in your shirt? Genius. These pieces aren’t baggy, they’re comfortable, and most importantly, I feel attractive wearing them.
Practical Features: Pockets and Storage
The Sally Classic Skirt features two front pockets that are large enough to hold golf balls, tees, or a glove. My one wish? A back pocket. I typically put my glove there during a standard round, and I missed having that option.
The bodysuits also feature traditional skort-style side pockets on the thighs, but I personally didn’t use them much since the skirt’s front pockets offered better access to my essentials.
Let’s Talk About the Elephant in the Room: Bathroom Breaks
The biggest question everyone has about a bodysuit: how easy is it to manage a quick bathroom break?
The buttons are relatively easy to undo and rebutton, and there’s plenty of stretch in the outfit to pull down. However, there’s a piece of the collar and yoke that doesn’t have much give, so you’ll be pulling one arm out at a time rather than both simultaneously. I had the Alice (short sleeve style), so I can only speak to this model, the long sleeve or sleeveless options might have different considerations.
After a couple of bathroom breaks, I got the hang of the routine. That said, I’d love to see Honey consider a snap or zipper option instead of the buttoned collar. They could achieve this without losing the classy aesthetic the buttons provide.
On-Course Performance and Overall Verdict
This is a great piece. I received numerous compliments about the outfit on the course, and the quality speaks for itself. After getting past the initial learning curve, the peel-off routine became second nature.
Honey Golf offers a great lineup of colors, high-quality materials, and simple options that work. In a world where golf attire can absolutely break the bank, these pieces are refreshingly affordable. The bodysuit and skirt combination solves real problems—no more constantly retucking, no more worrying about your shirt coming untucked during your swing, and you always look put-together.
I’m genuinely excited to see what Honey Golf comes up with next in their classic and incredibly classy lineup. If you’re a woman golfer looking for something that’s both functional and fashionable without the premium price tag of many established brands, Honey Golf deserves a serious look.
